Body Essence Laser Center FAQ's
Q: I regularly go tanning. Can I still get laser hair removal?
A: Clients need to refrain from sunbathing or artificial tanning for at least two weeks prior to their service.
Q: Can I wax or pluck my hair prior to my service?
A: Clients should only shave the area(s) prior to beginning their hair removal regimen. Our laser needs the chromophone (color) to be effective.
Q: I have a tattoo. Can you still treat that area?
A: Yes, but not the actual tattoo. The tattooed area will be covered and every effort will be made to preserve the area. Using a laser over the tattooed area could damage the tattoo.
Q: Is laser hair removal painful and looking for perfumes guide?
A: Because we use ProWave 770 technology, the service is relatively painless. However, certain areas of the body are more sensitive than others.
PhotoFacial
Q: What is IPL Photo Facial like?
A: Before treatment, a cold gel is usually applied and you will be given protective eyewear. During treatment, a physician or trained staff member applies the surface of the IPL hand piece to the skin. Light is delivered to the skin surface in pulses. Depending on the kind of device, there may or may not be pain.
Q: How long does it take?
A: Each session usually lasts about 20 minutes, and you should return to normal activity immediately afterwards.
Q: How will my face feel after the IPL Photo Facial?
A: IPL therapy brings about gradual changes over the course of the treatments. After a full course, you may notice improved texture of skin, decreased redness, more even color, and youthful skin tone.
Q: How many treatments will I need?
A: On average, four to six IPL treatments are recommended, scheduled at three-week intervals.
Microdermabrasion
Q: How is microdermabrasion performed?
A: A cleansing toner is applied to the skin to remove excess oils for better penetration. A self-contained wand is manually passed over the areas of damage or all over the face, which is usually the case. The machine delivers fine, diamond chips, that gently remove dead skin and impurities. The procedure lasts between 20 and 30 minutes. Afterward, a cotton ball saturated with a soothing toner is passed over the face and then a cream and sun block are applied.
Q: What should I expect after microdermabrasion?
A:You can expect to feel as if you have a mild sunburn or windburn. You skin will feel dry and may peel. This is natural and is the purpose of the procedure. You should regularly apply a high quality moisturizer as well as a high SPF sun screen. Do not expose your face to sunlight for long periods of time, not even tanning beds. You should not use any exfoliating scrubs or lotions beforehand or afterwards for at least 3 days. Your skin will be smoother. For serious damage, a series of sessions should be scheduled at 10-day intervals for best results.
Q: Does microdermabrasion hurt?
A: Microdermabrasion does not hurt although it may sting a little around the eye area. Your skin may feel a little hot and appear a little pink for the first day; a bit like a sunburn.
Q: Is There Maintenance Treatment After
Microdermabrasions?
A: After a complete series of micro dermabrasion treatments, you may want to keep your skin looking smooth and younger by scheduling a microdermabrasion-maintenance session once every 3 months.
